Marble Modern Tea Tray

This Marble Modern Tea Tray is cut from Bolivian Blue stone - deep blue base with milky white, pale gold, or gray veins that flow like celestial rivers, glacial patterns, or ink wash. Every piece is different: some wave, some streak like lightning. A special jade-ification process gives it a semi-translucent glow, like gemstone. It turns a simple tea setup into something refined.

Light enters the surface rather than bouncing off it, giving the stone a warmth that photographs cannot capture. Between 4.5 and 6 on the Mohs scale. That puts it somewhere between window glass and a steel file-not that you would ever test it that way. But day in, day out, with kettles coming down and cups sliding across, the surface stays as it was on day one. No dull patches. No hairline scratches from clumsy hands. Tea leaves its pigment on the cloth, not on the stone. Rinse it, dry it, move on. And heat? Pour boiling water straight from the stove. The tray accepts it without complaint. No warp. No crack.
